Rezidența9 is the art heartbeat of Fundația9, hosted in a historic Bucharest villa from 1890 that transforms six exhibition rooms and a welcoming courtyard into a living laboratory for contemporary culture. As part of the bigger efforts to rewrite the brand strategy and redesign the visual identity of Fundația9 and its programs, Glitch shone a light on new perspectives to be expressed, voiced and amplified. This is a space where artists, thinkers, and audiences converge and never stop inspiring each other.

Rezidenta9 Redesign Concept
Space takes center stage here, so the identity embraces genuine three-dimensional depth as its core language. The logotype extrudes into perspective; headlines come and go; posters tilt like architectural maquettes waiting to be assembled. The visual language takes cues from angular framing, skew play, with the bright color palette casting the right accents. Typography follows the same vanishing-point grid system, ensuring print materials, digital interfaces, and physical signage feel carved from identical conceptual space.

Delivery and Governance
From typography treatment that take its cues from photography, colors that help frames shine and expressive solutions for serial materials, every brand asset follows shared three-dimensional construction rules detailed in the comprehensive toolkit. Wayfinding elements, event materials, or the interior literature align to the spatial grid, ensuring visitors recognize the brand’s dimensional language before they step through the door. The system scales seamlessly from intimate artist residencies to open-air concerts or spontaneous film screenings, maintaining its immersive spatial character across every touchpoint.

About Rezidenta9 and glitch
Rezidenta9 is the cultural and artistic heart of Fundația9, one of Bucharest’s most dynamic cultural foundations. Housed in a beautifully restored 1890 villa, Rezidenta9 brings together six exhibition rooms and an open courtyard that function as a living laboratory for contemporary art, performance, and cultural discourse. When Glitch Studio was commissioned to reimagine the Rezidenta9 brand identity, the brief was clear: create a visual language that could hold the full complexity of the space , intimate yet bold, rooted yet forward-looking.
Glitch Studio approached the Rezidenta9 redesign by immersing in the architecture and energy of the villa itself. The resulting brand identity borrows from spatial logic , perspectives that shift, planes that overlap, type that tilts and extrudes as if it exists in three-dimensional space. The color palette is vivid and deliberate, amplifying the light and shadow dynamics of Rezidenta9’s physical rooms. Every visual decision was made in service of a single idea: that art and space are inseparable, and the identity should feel like an extension of the building itself.
This project is part of Glitch Studio’s broader commitment to purpose-driven communications work in the cultural sector. From our approach to branding to execution across print, digital, and environmental touchpoints, Glitch Studio partnered with Rezidenta9 to build a cohesive identity system that could flex across posters, programs, wayfinding, and social media , all while maintaining the spirit of a place where curiosity is always welcome. You can also get in touch to learn more about working with us.
The Rezidenta9 identity system was developed with longevity and adaptability at its core. Rather than designing for a single campaign or season, Glitch Studio built a flexible visual grammar , a set of rules and elements that the Rezidenta9 team could apply across years of programming and events. From exhibition graphics to institutional communications, the new visual identity of Rezidenta9 gives the space a confident, contemporary voice that reflects both its historic roots and its forward-looking cultural ambitions , a lasting contribution to Bucharest’s creative landscape.
