Branding for Foundations, NGOs & Networks
Branding for foundations, NGOs & networks
A lot to stand for. One clear identity.
You’re doing something worth knowing about. We bring strategy, words and design together to make sure people get it. And remember it.
A familiar turning point
Your organisation has moved on.
Has your brand?
A foundation with several programmes. A network speaking across borders. An organisation with a bigger role to play. There’s a lot to bring together.
We find the idea that connects it, then give it a distinctive shape. Clear thinking. Character in the design. A voice that sounds like you. And a system that makes sense to the people using it, from your own team to the partners carrying it further.
Based in Bucharest. Working across borders.
Bring the family together.
Fundația9
One foundation. Three independently minded platforms. A shared identity with space for each to be itself.
We built the brand architecture and visual system connecting Fundația9, Scena9, Școala9 and Rezidența9. The shared 9 brings the family together across editorial, education and cultural programmes.

Give a network a shared voice.
Culture Next
A network of cities needs something they can all stand behind. And something each city can make its own.
We developed the strategy, visual and verbal identity for Culture Next, a European city network. City marks, conference identities and co-branding rules carry the shared idea across different places and partners.

Put the idea into people’s hands.
CARE
An idea about arts and wellbeing needed to travel: between countries, through partner organisations and into everyday life.
Commissioned by the Northern Dimension Partnership on Culture, we created the campaign concept and design toolkit for CARE, an arts and mental-health initiative spanning six countries.
Illustrated characters, motion and adaptable formats give partners a lively way to say “More arts, more wellbeing”.

A clear idea, carried through.
We work from the big questions to the small things that make a brand feel like itself. The name. The words. The way a report reads or a campaign moves. Each part has a job to do.
01Strategy & brand architecture
What do you stand for? Who needs to care? How do your programmes fit together? We ask the useful questions, listen to the people involved and turn what we learn into a direction your team can get behind.
- Research & discovery
- Stakeholder workshops
- Positioning
- Naming
- Brand architecture
02Visual & verbal identity
This is where the thinking gets a personality. We develop the visual language and voice, then see how they behave in the places you need them. Distinctive enough to be recognised. Flexible enough for a whole organisation to use.
- Logo & typography
- Colour & imagery
- Tone of voice
- Key messages
- Motion principles
03Websites, publications & launch
A brand comes to life when it leaves the presentation. We design the website, publication, campaign or launch that takes it into the world, with the same care for the big impression and the small print.
- Website design
- Reports & editorial
- Campaigns
- Social templates
- Launch materials
04Guidelines, tools & ongoing design
A good identity should make the next piece of work easier. We give your team clear guidelines, useful templates and a proper handover. And when you need more hands, we can keep designing with you.
- Brand guidelines
- Editable templates
- Team handover
- Design support

Understand
We get into your world: the work, the audiences, the ambitions and the things that keep getting in the way. Together, we turn that into a brief with a clear job to do.
Make decisions
We explore the direction, develop the identity and test it on the things you actually need. You see the thinking as well as the design, with agreed moments to discuss, decide and move forward.
Put it to work
We make the applications, organise the files and show your team how to use the system. Then we help you decide what comes next: a launch, a new phase or a longer design partnership.
A new chapter.
Or the next piece of work.
A new identity
Starting something? Changing direction? Bringing a family of programmes together? We can take the brand from its first strategic questions to the things you launch with.
A focused project
Sometimes there’s one thing to get right: a new programme, a website, a report or an identity that needs more room to grow. We can start there.
A continuing partnership
The launch is rarely the end of the list. We can stay close, learn how your organisation works and keep the design moving across reports, campaigns and everyday requests.
Fair questions.
Can you work with an existing identity?
Yes. There may be a lot worth keeping. We look at what’s useful, what’s getting in the way and where the gaps are, then agree whether you need a refresh, a fuller rethink or help with one particular thing.
How do you work with several partners or decision-makers?
By making room for their input and being clear about how decisions get made. We agree who needs to contribute, who signs off and when. A shared brief and focused review stages keep everyone working towards the same thing.
Can you respond to a brief or tender?
Send it over. The scope, timetable, budget range and submission requirements help us see whether we’re the right fit. From there, we can put together an approach and a team for the work.
What happens after the handover?
You get the agreed files, templates and guidance, with time to walk through how they work. If you’d like us to stay involved, we can plan ongoing design support around what your team needs next.
What are you bringing into the world?
A new organisation. A change of direction. A project that needs a good design partner. Tell us what you have in mind, and we’ll work out where to start.
Have a brief or tender? Send it along with your timing and budget range, if available.
